Welcome to ADAPT Jr.

The purpose of ADAPT Jr is to identify the names and demographics of scientists mentioned in a physics text.
Given a chapter or index of a physics text, ADAPT Jr will use a proprietary database to identify mentioned scientists and their demographics. Please see the AJP article entitled "Whose Work Matters" for additional details and applications.

Instructions for use:

1. Convert your index or textbook file to a txt file prior to using the tool

2. Select whether you are processing an index file or a textbook file

3. Select your naming scheme

4. Upload your file

(REQUIRED) Select whether you are examining the index of a textbook or a paragraph style text (for example, a chapter of a textbook or an article).



(REQUIRED) Please select whether your input file uses a first name - last name scheme (Albert Einstein)
or a last name - first name (Einstein, Albert) scheme (If you are processing a paragraph style text please select first name - last name):
